Garden Journal 3

Its still growing!  I'm getting excited for the sugar snap peas...they're my favorite.  We need to get the trellis up, I think they're wanting to grow up.  They're getting those cute little curly cues.  Here's the latest pics...

Sugar Snap Peas...

Potatoes...

Onions... ( I got a little impatient and had so see what was goin on underground...oops.)
I did have some yummy chives on a baked potato though! It was a big moment...the first fruits of our labor. I'll have to wait a little longer on the onion, hasn't quite made it.

Spinach...

And our cute little farmhouse.  We are so grateful to be able to rent from Justin's Grandparents until we save up for our own someday.  We love the country.  The sky was so awesome last night!

Dress-Making

I've been working on a few dresses lately.  I'm really enjoying making adult clothes again.  It's been a while so I wanted to give it a try again.  These are just a few sketches of the ones I'm working on now.  They're still works in progress but I'll get pics of them on here soon.  I have some fun ideas for a photo-shoot.  Until then...

Inspiration

I love looking at designs from Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie.  I collected some pics from both for a little inspiration.  I love taking bits and pieces from this and that.  I used to make more adult clothing and am really wanting to get back into that.

I hope these inspire you too...

Deco Fever

I've gotten into that crazy spring re-decorating mood where I just want to change everything in our house.  Since we're renting now, it's not the best use of time or money...but I do love looking for ideas for when we get to!

I love Vintage Wallpaper...

Colorful Dream

I love how God shows us His Beauty every day.  Yesterday was awesome.  It was one of those days where the sky was heavenly and the temperature was just perfect...like a dream. I love that He shows us His artwork every day.

I realized that I've let some of my artwork set around for too long... what good is art if you don't let people see it?

...So my husband and I set out on a venture.  We had lots of fun together.  I love doing artistic things with people, especially my husband.  It's so fun to build off other people's ideas.  He had some really good ones.  I'm so blessed to have a man like him.

My Garden Journal 2

I didn't know what certain veggies were gonna look like as they grew.  I'm slowly finding out and I never knew how much fun it could be.  Here are a few pics of the growth so far.

Snow Peas:

Potatoes:

Spinach: ( look at those cute little leaves)

Carrots:

Onions:

I'll post more soon...that is if it keeps growing! It's so crazy how all that comes out of such tee-tiny seeds. You should plant a garden...you'll love it. It's not as hard as you might think.

My Garden Journal

So my husband & I planted a garden a few weeks ago.  I had been hearing all kinds of things about Raised Bed Gardening and I thought we should give it a try.

I thought I would know what I was doing since I had helped my mom in the past.  Its funny though.  When I was little, I hated it.  Between the hot sun, digging, weeding, and snakes... But looking back, the memories are priceless.  I learned so much from my mom.  She and my Dad taught us hard work and discipline.  That is something I hope I can pass down to my kids someday.

So Justin & I built the wooden frame together and planted our garden.  We had no clue what we were doing.  I guess it just takes doing some things yourself to really learn.  I don't have the greenest thumb but after just two weeks, our plants are growing!  I can't even tell you how excited I am!

We also planted Spinach, Snow Peas and Sugar Snap Peas...which are my favorite!

There's something just amazing about watching plants grow up from just a tiny seed.  We sure do have an awesome Creator!

Hazel

I got to hang out with my good friend yesterday.  She is so talented and inspires me to push myself in my work.

I got to take some pics of her daughter, Hazel, in some of my new stuff.  She is so adorable!
